I've come to see why the Right loves Reagan so much
He UNITED the warring conservative factions to begin the implementation of the war on the middle class, the war on liberalism (interchangeable with "socialism" and "Communism"), made selfishness and ignorance virtues, did more to destroy the safety net that guards our society, and moved the People, the ultimate source of power, to start worshiping the Elite, who had power but rightly worried that it was being encroached upon.

That last part is key-when the People are on the side of the Elite, it will inevitably lead down to one road: fascism.

For all of this, Ronald Reagan was our worst President, the man who betrayed his party of youth (the Democrats) for the party of wealth (the Republicans) and who set America on a course where BOTH parties became the party of wealth.

Why does the Right unite under the banner of Reagan? Because he did what they wanted. He did more to ruin this nation and the world, directly and indirectly, than any other President, even the Bush Crime Family.

And he did it all with a smile on his face, reassuring Americans that everything would be all right.

1. That pretty much sums it up
He basically made it cool to be an openly greedy, selfish, hateful bastard. Before him, people were chastised for having those traits.

2. Yep. He was the strong daddy whose abuse doesn't even register
because he's so good at his act.

4. He betrayed his party too.
He increased the size of the gov't, increased spending, increased the debt, increased taxes, etc. etc. But the right ignores those little problems. He told them what they wanted to hear.

6. Bush Was the Puppetmaster, Reagan the Puppet
and the bodies are well hidden and the cognoscenti are silenced by bribes, blackmail, or death.

7. What I don't understand is that Bush coined the phrase "Voodoo Economics"
to describe Reagan's trickle-down. Then he became one of the master manipulators of it.

8. But at least Reagan's exorcism was effective. Shame that Father Karras had to die.
