23 Senators for Public Option through reconciliation. Keep it up.
Senator Patty Murray's Seattle office seems particularly upset they are being "phonebanked" by Progressives.

1. Which public option were they signing on for?
What is the actuarial value? What are the premiums? What are the qualifications to enroll in it? Are doctors mandated to accept it? What medical procedures will it plan on covering? Who actually runs and administers it (subs?)? What rates will it pay out for services?

Just curious.

4. As I understand it, this is a statement of support to use simple majority.

2. Considering all of Patty's crappy votes in recent years
She (and her staff) should be used to hearing from us by now. Maria too, for that matter although she's actually got more of them right than Patty recently, and she's "supposed to be" the DLC corporatist.

3. I just talked to her chief of staff in DC for 30 minutes, no exaggeration.
He said she is not signing the letter but not ruling it out at some point.

8. Murray. I gave him every persuasive argument I knew.
He said "sound advice" to a number of my comments but was somewhat resistant to acknowledge the complexity of Progressive positions or the importance of appearances in shaping public support and supporting activism.

5. I talked to Murray's office AGAIN today, Cantwell, too. I'm really getting
pissed at them.

When I asked if she had signed and the aide said "no" it was all I could to not to scream "why the fuck not????"

Tomorrow I'll ask WHEN we can expect to hear from them, as we feel it's our right to know how the people we voted for are thinking. Not that the message will be passed along, but it'll make me feel better.

7. Keep it up.

Patty Murray's chief of staff said the meeting Thursday to discuss strategy is going to be very important. They seem to think the delay is strategically important to the cause. Don't let up.

9. I won't give up. I'll call every day until it's not longer an issue, either way. So
if we DON'T get what we want, I won't be kicking myself saying "I should have..." :hi:
