As Cheney crumples up like a spider, consider this about the care he will receive
Cheney had another heart attack. I wish him a speedy recovery. I do not wish him harm, I wish to see him in front of the World Court - but that is a different matter for a different time. Today he crumpled up like a spider, and of course he got immediate attention. This is as you would expect for a Vice President not much over a year out of Office. But next week the emergency service will not be there, and next month when his medications need renewed it will be his health care insurance that keeps him on his feet. And what does Cheney have? Well, he's retired Government, what else would he have but the reasonably priced and full coverage providing Federal Employees Health Benefits program? Seems ironic, doesn't it? A federal health care program keeps him going.

1. Today he crumpled up like a spider?
Even though he's a lizard? He must have some weird shit going on with all his embedded electronic coronary support systems.

I truly hope that he gets the outcome that he deserves. }(

3. A speedy recovery? Unrec'd!
The longer this keeps him off the now-openly-neoconned Politico, the better!

5. The FEHBP isn't "reasonably priced and full coverage." It can be quite expensive depending which
private sector plan you pick and how much your deductible is, and the "full coverage" is not universal. Coverage depends on which hospitals and doctors and options are covered under the plan you pick.

The private plans that participate in the FEHBP can not have a preexisting condition limit, which is good. But it doesn't come cheap. Federal employees can and do end up paying quite a bit for their health care out of their own pockets.
