On the third anniversary of my own heart attack, I took a stress test and listened to Cheney nooz ..

..... on the radio.

I had a nuclear stress test today. I aced it. I lasted the full time, the tech turned the treadmill "to eleven" and I was able to speak calmly through it all. I was sweating and puffing, but that's the idea. They say the chest films were all good, too. So my guess is that Stinky will be around for another year, grumbling and being curmudgeonly ...... and celebrating life.

Meanwhile, Cheney lay on his back after having been angioplastied.

I give as much of a fuck about him as he does about me.

3. Cheney was an arrogant SOB who continued to smoke

after his first heart attacks and bypass surgery. I don't think he's on record as quitting until after his third heart attack. I guess he thought his greed made him impervious to the physical damage it was doing.

It makes a huge difference, folks.

Congratulations on the third year mark, Stinky. I know it hasn't always been easy because unlike that arrogant SOB, you've actually taken your doc's advice, changed what you could change, and will have a lot more good years than he's had.

9. Stents

I was VERY lucky. No muscle damage. I got there soon enough and the stents cleared the blockages. Apart from lifelong meds, I have no restrictions whatsoever.

It got me to quit smoking. That was the biggest long term lifestyle effect - and that's a GOOD one!
