Kirk Cameron prays for missing co-star
http://www.cnn.com/2010/SHOWBIZ/TV/02/23/kirk.cameron.andrew.koenig.ppl/index.html

<snip>
It's been a long time since they acted together on the set of "Growing Pains," but Kirk Cameron has never forgotten costar Andrew Koenig -- and now desperately worries about him after he went missing amid signs he was depressed.

"I am praying for his family during this time of distress and for his safe return," Cameron said in a statement. "Andrew, if you're reading this, please call me."
<snip>

One of the commenters brings up an excellent point - where was Kirk when his "never forgotten" co-star was suffering from depression?

Kirk Cameron is one of the biggest fake opportunists out there. He's just icky.

2. An easy opportunity to get his name in the news
Kirk is full of it, his whole act is not believable. He's not a nice person, he got an actress fired from "Growing Pains" because she had previously posed for Playboy and he still doesn't apologized for costing someone their job.

4. Well, since Boner is Chekov's son
...shouldn't Starfleet be leading a search party? :shrug:

They would have better luck than Kirk Cameron and his friend Ray with the weird banana fetish.

6. Um...is he trying to argue that humans are descended from apes?
I mean, that's the stereotype, that apes like to eat bananas, and he's demonstrating how God created bananas specifically to conform to human hands... :crazy:

7. I'd be more impressed if he was looking for him instead of praying for him.
The little prick.

8. Even more impressive if he would have tried to get him help beforehand
Of course, that would have meant actually staying in touch with him, knowing what he was going through, and actually being a friend; not just hearing about it on the news and deciding to make a public statement about it.

12. Just for clarification...
You stay in constant contact with everyone youve worked with since you were a teenager.... right?

11. standard operating procedure for the "christian right"
forget someone exist for years, then when the chance to get some free pub out of it comes along, make a public statement and show you're fake concern for someone.
