Arizona strikes again...
From TPM this morning:

Arizona To Obama: Show Us Your Birth Certificate!
Ben Frumin | February 24, 2010, 10:25AM

If the Arizona legislature has anything to say about it, President Barack Obama may have to show the state his birth certificate before seeking reelection in 2012.

The Associated Press reports that a state House committee approved a measure yesterday -- sponsored by 40 of Arizona's 90 state legislators -- that would require presidential candidates to submit documentation proving their eligibility to serve as president before appearing on Arizona's ballot.

The idea comes from Skull Valley Republican Judy Burges. All of the proposal's co-sponsors are Republicans.

--------------
Why don't they just be honest about it an introduce a bill prohibiting anyone non-White from running for President.

:nuke:

Morans. Bigoted morans.

1. Arizona's economy and infrastructure circling drain and they waste time on birther crap in the legis
Judy Burges needs to face facts. The birth certificate HAS been made public. She and her racist cohorts are just grasping for the great white (in charge) hope.

Meanwhile, the state is facing devastating problems.

14. And Russell Pearce wants a Ten Commandments monument
at the state capitol and another RW wants a mandatory 6 month (I think that's right) waiting period for divorces. It's all diversionary.

6. He had the damn thing on his web site LONG before the last election.
Shit, McCain wasn't born in the US! Legally, he has that status, but he wasn't physically in the US when he was born. The OP is correct - be honest, bigoted morons, just pass a law prohibiting non-white people from running for president!

7. OK, wonder how many candidates will provide a state certified certificate of live birth? That's
what Obama showed and what I have from the state of Ohio.

9. Ok, somebody fill me in on this.
This birth certificate crap is going on and on. All he has to do to stop this noise is show the birth certificate. What could possibly be the reason he doesn't just produce it and be done with it?

16. Dude, he showed it.
The Birthers claimed a document certified by the State of HAwaii, and subsequently verified by the REPUBLICAN governor of Hawaii as genuine, to be a forgery.

18. Thanks, I wondered if it was something like that.
If they are just going to say it is a forgery, then there is no way convince them. They are irrational.
