Here's the idea. Buy off Congress. Yes buy off both the Congressmen/women and the Senators.

Attach a $100,000/year pay raise to their current salaries to the HCR bill with a strong public option, or Medicare for everyone - then dare them to vote it down.

100 Senators X $100,000 = $10,000,000
435 Congresspersons X $100,000 = $43,500,000
For a total of $53,500,000

I'm betting that we get overwhelming support for HCR if this is attached to the bill.

As for me - doing this is worth it - if we can assure that all American's get the healthcare that we deserve - I'd be willing to buy off Congress for this.

4. Many of them are already uber-rich..
what's a $100k to a multi-millionaire? And I'm sure the special interests (insurers, Big Pharma, etc) can more than match that number in campaign "gifts" and "consulting fees" down the road.
