1. Why does my tally keep going back to 800,000+ or so?
About an hour ago it was at 900,000+, then I closed the window and had to re-open it. I sure want to believe the 1,000,000 was a reachable goal. I did my part. Got one call through, another a full voice mail box. Both senators were faxed.

5. Maybe it depends on where you came in when you signed up for the campaign?
In any case, I assume that each viewer's page will eventually catch up to the real time total.

I've been checking it all day. Oh well, I hope I get to see the 1 million mark!

9. Mine is showing 920K, but I think we're going to make it...
before midnight! I noticed that none of the progressive radio personalities mentioned this effort today. Hopefully, we'll get some airplay on MSNBC tonight, but if not, I wonder why.

17. When I refreshed my screen my count lined up with ypurs
Before that it was about 50,000 higher. The software to keep a running tally like this accurate across thousands of connections logging in at different times doesn't seem to be able to handle exact simultaneous counts. But the real count is the flood of faxes and phone calls that Senators are receiving as a result of this "march". Those are the numbers that count and they are huge by any measure.
