McConnell "Discouraged" By Obama Healthcare Summit
If you think small, you'll alway be small.

Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell said he was "discouraged" by the White House healthcare summit on Thursday, and renewed his call to start over in the bid to draft bipartisan legislation.

"I was discouraged," McConnell told reporters shortly after the daylong meeting. "I think it is pretty clear" that President Barack Obama and his fellow Democrats want to continue to pursue their own sweeping measure. "What we think he ought to do is start over," McConnell said.

3. You want Obama to FAIL, McConnell. You and your Republican terrorists in Congress
don't care how many people get hurt by your politics. You just want Obama to fail so you and your creepy terrorist brothers and sisters can take over again and finish the country off. Bush and Cheney almost accomplished it, but not quite. Another term or two, and you should finally achieve MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

Perhaps you can use the same banner AWOL Bush did when he made his big announcement.

Anyone who watched the summit today can tell the Republicans are full of shit. They lie to make their point, and they don't like it when they're called on it. Fortunately, most Republicans are too stupid to question what they are told, so they will still believe you. The rest of us--the majority--call bullshit on you, your party, your "values", and everything else associated with the right wing.

You are playing with people's lives as if it were a game. I would say shame on you, but none of you have any shame. Or morals. Or ethics. Or values. You are all out for whatever you can get for yourselves, and to hell with anyone else.

In a just world, you would all be condemned for your actions, and too ashamed to show your ugly, pathetic faces in public.

6. There's no chance they will support anything except destruction of the bill
Period. The Dems need to rev up the communications and start the mantra now:
By refusing to sign this bill, the GOP is demonstrating that they don't care about the well being of American citizens. By refusing to sign this bill the GOP is demonstrating that pre-existing conditions are fine. By refusing to sign this bill, the GOP is demonstrating that they are in bed with the insurance industry. Etc. Etc.
Over and over.

This is not something our party is very good at-in fact they suck at it. Bunch of wimps- not all (thank you Cong. Weiner-- bravo for yesterday). They are experts- masters of media spin. But we all hoped and prayed that the Obama team had this handled. That they were going to "end the game" - not just play it better or differently. They beat the Clinton machine for goodness sake! We believed (and I have not given up hope yet) that this administration was not going to stand for the GOP bullshit and show them for who they really are- and confront their lies and spin head on. And so far, they've been pretty good about this in many ways- including holding this Summit where the GOP did in fact show up in spite of a lot of whining and drama. So, they are doing ok.

But if after this day, the GOP remain (as we all believe they will) planted in their corner and not budging from their bull shit- then the left needs to RAMP UP THE COMMUNICATION. They need to sell health care to the American public the way going to war in Iraq was marketed and spun by the Bushies.

This has to pass. Period. With our without the GOP.

11. What Boner and McConnell want is to kill HCR so they can say in Nov that

America has said no to Obama's radical socialist
agenda.

They will say no to any bill even one that contains
their own amendments. The did it before and they
will do again with every bill that is proposed by
the Obama administration.

Reconciliation is the only way any major bill will
get passed under this administration. Next up DADT
