CSPAN Live Link to Senate Discussion on Unemployment Extensions

Some very frank discussion on the floor... and a general agreement that the country must see the Senate as dysfunctional. At least the Dems were willing to admit it. Bunning for his pompous unbelievable callousness simply said tough shit and complained about missing a basketball game.

Our senators were fantastic. All of them... Durbin, Whitehouse, Merkely, Begich, McCaskill -- all stayed until midnight to try and get him to relent, hounding him with letters from his own constituents and imploring him to reconsider his objection.

Bob Corker R from Tennessee seemed mildly reasonable while trying to defend Bunning on the action not the substance. But he stopped short of calling for his colleague to stop his hold.

He is going to be hearing from his Senior Citizen's and Dr's in Kentucky also or he sure as H should be!
