Computer Science Corporation announces a goal of 50% offshore workers within 3 years

Offshore outsourcing csc offshore outsourcing
In the latest quarterly earnings report Mike Laphen, Chairman President and CEO of Computer Science Corporation, a large government contractor, announced a target of 50% of offshore workers.

"I would just answer that Mike I think you also keep looking in the contacts though of the business mix and particularly with the new business levels that we're waiting, will be infusing that revenue stream and that will come at a better margin and also will reflect and enhance our ability to increase our offshore mix of employees which today is around 32% to 33% and we've set ourselves a target of 50% over the three year period. So good opportunity to improve the margins through the mix of business as well."

7. Massive unemployment here, yet it's ok for taxpayer money
offshore workers?

We make a company richer with hard earned (and even harder to come by) taxes at the expense of American workers?

Why not shoot ourselves in the foot and let it become infected?

Why waste our time on a job's bill?

:grr:

8. What's the difference...
... between a government that runs on foreign workers, and being governed by foreign masters?

9. Can't something be done about government contractors and off-shoring?
It seems like it would be a big winner for legislators of either party.

10. ANY company that is a gov't contractor or takes ANY gov't money for ANYTHING
ought to (and CAN) be forbidden to send jobs overseas or to use foreign workers. That is sensible, reasonable policy.

TOO BAD there's no political will for sensible, reasonable policy.
