I TOLD you so. It ain't about the effing HOUSE, it's about the TIN EAR of Senor EDWARDS, a GLARING strategy fuck up. As NIXON said, "I gave them a sword..." And LENO will do the Rethug dirty work FOR them. Yeah-yeah, he's ONLY a comedian...

(On HIllary) "Smart but unelectable? They have a term for that--a Democrat!"

Apparently jay wasn't in the country or was in a cave in November

Letterman makes no bones about being a Dem. Jay is sort of rePUGnant. I don't make a habit of watching him. edit for spelling

14. I prefer Dave, but Jay's not a Repub.
He was challenged in an interview once on it, and he said "I've never voted for a Republican."

He's just much more concerned about offending everyone equally, whereas Dave makes no bones about his feelings about Bush.

Of course when a Dem the WH, don't expect Dave to lay off. They are comedians, ultimately.

letting him annouce for the recall on his show and then refusing to let Davis have equal time

and he didn't let Angelides on the air last year, either.

2. Did not see it but, are you sure it's a hit piece and not just a joke???
I have no stake in the argument. I don't care about his house. I was just wondering as the joksters like to dig at all the politicians.

3. I can see that point. This shows the importance of the process of
picking the best nominee. It doesn't bother me, but if it bothers many, he gave them the sword.

Still looking for Gore ...

He's not a front runner.

22. "Once these guys started making some money, they
all became republicans pretty fast." Isn't that the truth? I once had a woman who had grown up in modest circumstances but married into money tell me that she became a repuke because she "voted her pocketbook." I have another friend, nice guy, who struck it rich in the entertainment world as a CFO of a tv production company. He used to consider himself a moderate Dem, now toes the repuke party line. Freely admits it's all about keeping more of his considerable income. Jeez, he owns two houses, two Benzes, takes yearly vacations to luxurious resorts, treats his young teen to ice skating lessons with multiple world class coaches - and he's worried about hanging onto his $$? Give me a break.

It's all about greed.

8. When do you think they began planning that house?
During the same period of time his wife was recovering from treatment for breast cancer.

I doubt that anyone who's been through THAT trauma will fault that husband for wanting to build a wonderful new home for his wife and family.

13. I might be that "anyone".
Experiences like John and Elizabeth's more commonly teach us what's really important in life. And what's really important in life is not an enormous, "wonderful new home".

It's funny. I actually kind of liked him in the 80s, but when he took over for Johnny, he completely lost me. He's soooo painfully un-funny.

28. Many on this very board have posted
the very same comments as Jay Leno.

I say this to both Leno and DUers who have a problem
with Democrats being rich.

Please for God's Sake show me how a poor person has
been or will ever be elected.

The Corporate Types are not comfortable with someone who
is concerned with Poverty and Poor People. It makes
them have a guilty conscience and besides someone
might just say ==You should pay people better salaries.

Leno is doing Corporation's and Elites Dirty work.

What are the DUers doing??

Edwards is disqualified because he is a self-made millionnaire.
Please find me a poor person who can win an election.
Find me a middleclass person who can win an election.

You have to have Money and Connections.Think-Friends-Think

29. The last middle class person to win an election was
Harry Truman. In 1953, when his time was over, he got in his car and drove back to his small house in Missouri.

30. I give you part, credit
Harry Truman was propelled into office by FDRs death.
He had the opportunity to run after having been Pres.
He did win that election

Just so you know I think Harry Truman was one of our greatest.

I question his ability to win had he tried to start from
scratch.

"Give the people the choice between a "Real" Repubican

thing everytime--Harry S.Truman.

Seems we have some"fake Republicans" passing themselves
off as Democrats even today.
