From Our Mailbox
Perhaps it is too early and too optimistic to think in terms of a multi-polar world when one country, the United States, has 700-800 military bases around the world. Whether the US is in an ascent or a decline, these are the symptoms of a manic-depressive patient. It behooves the rest of the world to engage with the US and help it through its difficulties. But It is clearly better not to feed this American obsession with Iran.
