If I were President of the US, I'd be smoking my brains out, drinking
like a fish and...eating everything in sight. Really, I don't know how he does this job and stays sane.

7. This subject fascinates me, because ever since Nixon, it has been a taboo to talk
about the use of drugs or alcohol by a president. (Although, there were clearly rumors about Bush junior.) I imagine that they are provided with the prescriptions they need to endure the schedules that they have to comply with, which would probably include sleeping pills at the very least.

I personally don't think it is some mark of shame if a President takes prescription drugs. Hasn't Obama even admitted he suffers from depression? Or was that just an unsubstantiated rumor. My reaction was, So what? Nearly every single person in my family tree suffers from one thing or another, whether it is depression or whatever.

It is too pretentious to think that a really great president would have no weaknesses whatsoever. I don't think I want a president with no weaknesses.

Good thoughts .
Since he is a smoker, he might get what he needs from that. I can't imagine smoking, but I hear it is quite addictive. Hell, he's human!

8. A Chinese philosopher once said that he would rather be the kings adviser.
I would rather be the president's adviser than be the president.

10. That's why I chose to be an Executive Assistant...
Working for the person in the corner office that runs the place instead of being in the corner office... but I still run the place on many levels. All of the excitement, meeting all of the same exciting people, far less stress. Far less pay as well, but the stress that goes with that is miserable.

11. I would guess that very few human beings can handle that position...
The pressure must be intense... watching and documenting the graying of presidents is a time-honored hobby. Stress kills, slowly and painfully.

12. Reminds me of that SNL skit prior to the election..
If memeory serves: Obama smoking and calling H Clinton out of bed for advice on how to turn the WH furnace on right before bitching how tuff the job is.

Prescient...
