I love technology as much as the next person, but unfortunately, it's created a whole generation of mental midgets...at least as far as literacy goes.

I don't even waste my time trying to figure that shit out unless it's a real text message on my cell phone. It doesn't belong in everyday life.

very same thing, "would that be Cherokee, Sioux or what?" This was quite some time ago, she has yet to respond.

The one she had on her FB page was something to the effect of, "I shouldn't HAVE to press 1 for English!!!" or some such nonsense. To which I responded that I heartily agreed. I told her I believe that if we're going to make English our official language, then we should make it mandatory that all Americans SPEAK English. And I want the penalties for NOT speaking English to be criminal in nature. I want to see jails FILLED to the brim with people who don't know the difference between "your" and "you're." I want an entire prison filled with JUST the people who don't know the difference between "there," "they're," and "their." And another one for people who don't know when to use "less" and when to use "fewer." And then there's the people who will get locked up for using phrases like "could of" and "should of." And don't even get me started on the CHAIN of prisons in every State that will be chock-full of people who don't know how to spell or punctuate correctly. Hey, you guys want English to be America's official language. I'm all about giving people what they want. And all I ask in return is that we start locking up every single person who DOESN'T speak CORRECT English. The streets are about to get a LOT less crowded at rush hour, folks. I'm all for making English the official language.

Murrka would be better if'n we didn't have to listen to dem-dere ferners speakin' all their gobbley-gook no-how, ding-dong-dangit! Why can't all you gawl-durn ferners speak Murrkin like the resta us'ns does, anyways? Dagnab ferners, anyway.
