Good news in poll for Arlen Specter...

A new poll out this morning shows Sen. Arlen Specter on top for the first time in a while in the Pennsylvania Senate race. The new Quinnipiac poll shows Specter ahead of GOP nominee Pat Toomey by a 7 points, 49-42.

...

In the Democratic primary race, Specter appears to be opening up a huge gap with Rep. Joe Sestak, the choice of most progressives. The Q poll shows Specter leading Sestak, 53-29.

In my opinion he has been doing a very good job since his switch so it is nice to see that he may be getting rewarded for it... if this poll is any indication...

1. Wow, he was struggling against Toomey for awhile.
Sestak is my first choice but it looks like he will lose the primary. In that case, at least Specter is better then Toomey.

3. What happened up there?
I heard he started out well, even pulling even in the polls. Now I hear rumblings that Sestak has some how pulled a Coakley.

2. So, I guess it's official that Sestak is not progressive? That's too bad...
because I like what I see and hear from Sestak when he has a guest spot on the cable news shows.

Also, I love your Hubert Humphrey pic. I remember my mom was really excited about voting for Humphrey in the day. I remember him being a very nice man, and very liberal :)

4. Sestak talks the talk sometimes, but he has stated that he will vote

the way his constituency wants him to....55% GOP. He will be at least a partially blue dog.
Specter has become a pretty good Democrat, certainly better than most people expected, and he seems to be riding the anti GOP wave that is building over all the country....they WILL lose big again in November, guys, just watch - they are beginning to see it coming, too.

Panic in GOPerville.
