Accountability...

Seen that word bandied about by Obama. Seems he's big on accountability, mostly. Bunning too. I've got a short list here somewhere of a couple people he missed.... hang on... Oh yeah here it is.

Cheney/Bush. Massive debt, illegal war, the worst terrorist attack ever on American soil, lies, signing statements, torture, Katrina, unread PDB's, turning US policy over to corporations.. I could go on but.. you get it.

Paul Wolfowitz- 11 billion dollars missing in Iraq. MISSING.

The Pentagon- 1 TRILLION dollars unaccounted for. 1 TRILLION.

The Bush legal team- Rewriting laws to attempt to justify torture and other immoral and illegal activities.

Wall Street. Collapsed the Economy... Why? So they could upgrade the brass fixtures on their yachts to 24 carat gold.

Any politician who voted to pass the Patriot Act without reading it.

Any politician who voted to renew the highly un-constitutional Patriot Act.

Alan Greenspan, yeah there's a guy who was good at his job :eyes:

Joe Lieberman. What needs to be said, the guy was rewarded for being a traitor.

My list is actually really really looong but writing this all down is just pissing me off to no end so I'll stop the list here.

The architects of the collapse of this nation are given a pass. Not just a pass, but medals, rewards, bonuses, a pat on the back, and a chance to rewrite history. Yet teachers who are underfunded, overworked, underpaid, and handed classes that are twice the size they ought to be need to be "held accountable".

Let me use a couple analogies here. First, you can't give someone a race car with no engine and no wheels and fucking demand that they win the Daytona 500. Assholes.

Second the Democrats including Obama are acting like fucking schoolyard bullies. They leave the bigger kids alone and attack the people they perceive to be weak and easy targets in order to score political points with their opponents who hate them so much that even if Dems figured out a way to stop all war and feed clothe and house every person on the planet they would still be told they are "destroying Democracy.

It's nothing short of pathetic. I am an inch away from washing my hands of all of this crap.

the Hope and Change had me bamboozled for a year or so. Time to get back to breaking the machine instead of fixing it from within.

Yes, I agree, these are extremely disappointing times..
at least before, we KNEW we were being screwed with,
not misled/deceived with talk-talk-talkity-TALK of HOPE & CHANGE.
I hate a liar &/or hypocrite more than anything..
I BELIEVED.
