Ya know what's really touching?
Watching an actor go to the aid of a sick old man who the actor once portrayed.

Jaime Escalante was the subject of the movie Stand and Deliver. He was played by Edward James Olmos.

Today, Escalante has bladder cancer and mere months to live. Olmos is joining with his former students to make sure he wants for nothing.

Then ........

1. Oh no!!!
That's my favorite teacher movie. I recommend it all the time. It's so realistic and Escalante is a master. One of my heroes. Great fun to watch. Very inspiring.

This is just incredibly sad.

5. A most inspiring movie. I've watched it half a dozen times mostly just to see
the last scene as he walks out of the school and kicks his heels up. A feel good movie.
