For those who have problems with links, republican senator bob corker is using all his senatorial powers to block legislation that would adequately regulate the pay-day loan industry. One of these companies has given the sum mentioned over the years to corker's campaign. Of corker wouldn't have this clout if Democrats weren't so hell-bent (and I mean hell-bent) on courting and then rolling over for republican approval.
