Toyota recalls all 2000-2003 Tundras with potential corrosion, dropping gas tank, spare tire issues
by The Weekly Driver News Service on Mar 9, 2010

Toyota recall woes have worsened. The Japanese manufacturer has announced all 200o-2003 Tundra pickups sold in the United States will be fixed to address part of the truck’s frame that could corrode, causing spare tires or the gas tank to drop.

1. Wow, Toyota makes crappy cars.
Never again will I buy a Toyota. They have put profits above safety.

2. When my mechanic recommended Hondas over Toyotas, he indicated
rather delicately that Hondas were "a little more reliable". My assistant, who can be extremely opinionated, has always called Toyotas crap, but I wrote that off as personal bias.

Wow. I am rethinking my plans to get a Yaris.

4. Wonder if this problem is related to where they got their parts?
I have no idea what the parts in question are made of, but a random thought....cheap material, maybe?
Anyone know?
