U.S. Sales Tax rates hit record high
But, but, but.... they won't tell people why!

Hello.... cut progressive income taxes…shift the burden of revenue downward to the states and municipalities and they try to replace the loss revenues with regressive taxes such as sales taxes.

This country is full of moronic fools!

2. Washington State just jacked it up .03.
meaning Seattle has a rate of 9.1%.

The legislature has crafted a brilliant vote in november, however: keep the hike in sales tax, or repeal it and institute a 1% income tax on incomes over 200k. we have never had an income tax in this state.

the poor keep getting hit over and over and over

5. If the wealthy paid the same percentage of their income in taxes...
as I do, we wouldn't need sales tax.
