Agency Received 400 E-Mails In Days After Accident In Isleworth

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Florida Highway Patrol was flooded with e-mails criticizing their handling of the investigation of the crash involving golfer Tiger Woods that led to him admitting to extramarital affairs.

A review by the Orlando Sentinel found that the highway patrol and its umbrella agency, the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, got more than 400 e-mails in the days after the November crash outside Woods' home in Isleworth, which is located near Orlando.

Many of the e-mails accused the highway patrol of doing shoddy work and of treating Woods more like a celebrity than a suspect. A small percentage of e-mails praised the highway patrol's work.

Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles Department press secretary Ann Howard said the highway patrol handled the investigation professionally.

1. Guess no one watches cops............
If the cops ever arrived at a situation like that in my area, Someone would of been in jail. No if ands or buts, just blatant celebrity name dodging the law.

4. Oh that is such bullshit. If it had happened to you it wouldn't even
be on the news, much less an arrest.

5. I agree that it wouldn't be on the news since I'm not a celebrity..
But someone would have gone to jail.

3. Well, in fairness to the FHP
I'm sure they'd have treated any billion-dollar driver pretty much the same.
