A gag for the ages from last night's Colbert Report:

Watch the clip here: http://www.colbertnation.com/the-colbert-report-videos/267151/march-11-2010/karl-rove-s-new-book

Colbert Report, Thursday, Mar. 11, 2010:

"Nation, You know I love Karl Rove. I can not get enough of this guy! Sometimes when I can't find him on TV, I'll just, uh, put a pair of wire rimmed glasses...on a loaf of ham. And uh, and I'll pretend we're friends.
"Hey, hey Karl - you feeling alright? Your eyes look a little glazed. He's fun. Karl's fun. (licks ham)

That's why I am so pumped that on Tuesday, Karl Rove dropped his new book, Courage and Consequence. It's just like Pride and Prejudice, but even more prejudiced.

(snip)

Now, I am loving, I'm loving the juicy details in this little book, okay? Like this okay - Karl's Shocking revelation that he had nothing to do with the outing of CIA Operative Valerie Plame. Oh, and the bombshell that it wasn't him who spread the rumor that John McCain had fathered an illegitimate black baby. And folks, you'll never guess who was really not behind the Swift Boat rumors about John Kerry.
I am telling you folks - this is a gripping 'who didn't done it'. By the way, spoiler alert...Bush was a great president. (eats some of Karl's head)
mmm. He is salty."

ON EDIT: You've got to see this clip. It's not very long and it's hysterical!!! Colbert at his BEST. I love the part at the end.

6. Try putting Rove's pic from his book's jacket cover next to the Ham with
glasses. It really looks very much the same. I thought I was going to pee myself laughing last night!!

Colbert is a genius.
