Why in the hell would anyone risk life and limb to vote for the guy the people occupying their country gave you to vote for? Sorry but this whole Iraqi election stuff doesn't pass the smell test.

Does it?

2. Wouldn't be concerned about the tens of thousands of your neighbors the invaders killed?

3. If your neighbors were killing collaborators you would vote for those they were collaborating with..
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Collaborationism

Collaborationism describes the treason of cooperating with enemy forces occupying one's country. As such it implies criminal deeds in the service of the occupying power, which may include complicity with the occupying power in murder, persecutions, pillage, and economic exploitation or participation in a puppet government.

4. Invasion here would make things better
at lease we would get universal health care.

Evey country that have the capability to invade the US has national HC.

Perhaps invasion would not be so bad?

5. Has there ever been a successful exportation of Democracy?
Doesn't it have to be "of the people" and "by the people" by its very definition?

6. You wouldn't.
Yet if it does pass the smell test--and it seems very likely that it does--you can consider it a species of proof by contradiction.

7. Why don't we have a President and Congress brave enough
to completely and permanently end this occupation created by engaging in an illegal war started by the Bush/Cheney administration?
Oh, I forgot, it's to support the last export the USA has - forever combat soldiers and/or mercenarys, and bigger and badder weapons of mass destruction to sell to our friends and enemies.
Who in their right mind would ever think after Vietnam that the United States of America would be conducting 10 years and no end-in-sight wars? not me...
