Hey Dems, Obama, and the others that calls themselves a D.
You want to win November? Start by CUTTING 90% of the Pentagon budget. Audit the Pentagon throughly - find black ops money, CIA money, illegal slush funds. They do not need more new toys. Speed up the pull-out, end both wars, and using the newly found money (psst, that means no non-discretionary cuts that you announced) - put it towards to single payer health care, revoking all health insurance industry license to rip people off - let the insurance industry die or find another way to fleece people for money. Pour billions into education, give graduates an opportunity to further their education for free to any college in the U.S. - pour billions into the infrastructure. Kill NAFTA and any other stupid free-trade agreements that has decimated US jobs, make sure every job is unionized and the corporations have their personhood permanently revoked.

Hell, I ought to be running for Congress with these ideas, but I'm not old enough (off by 1 year).

3. Just how it would work out for the Dems if they were foolish enough
to adopt the proposal.

4. Yup. The conflict between idealism and reality.
I like Kucinich. Philosophically I agree with most of what he says. But, the USA is not Plato's cave. It's chock-full of people with ideas far from Kucinich's ideas. He's popular in his district. There he should stay. He can continue being the odd man out for as long as his voters will elect him.

Beyond that, he's just wacky, in the minds of the bulk of the country.

We still live in a country that votes for their own representatives. We have to live with that, even when we don't like it.
