I noticed a couple of young guys at the intersection just now.
As I waited for the green light and they waited for their walk signal. They were 16-17 years old and definitely brothers. The shorter one begin to comb the older ones hair and make sure his jacket was buttoned up. They got their walk signal and the shorter one held his hand out by his side and they older boy took it. As they passed, the taller boy had the happy smile of a young child. It was a sad and sweet moment, one I was glad to witness.
5. Oh, Swede, thanks for sharing this...these "little" moments mean so much as we
rush through another day of "mundane" activities...I'm so glad you witnessed it, too! You know...what you saw was "true love". Pure, un-staged, no-horseshit LOVE. Thanks again for posting this!
9. My 15-year old daughter walks her almost 17-year old big brother home
from school every day. Sometimes they hold hands, especially when crossing the street. People driving by comment that at first glance they thought it was a boyfriend/girlfriend thing. Then my son will usually start skipping and giggling and they figure it out.
I believe this will go pretty much as everything else has gone... Obama will get enough of what he wants to make things workable... it will take time but will start to work... the signs of it working will grow stronger and more obvious... and the whining of the GOP and GOP "Lite" will increase.
The older I grow, the less patience I seem to have:)
