3. I was falling off my bed with laughter last night. My cat looked at me like I was crazy.
Jon Stewart is the best at caricaturing people, like he did with Keith Olbermann. His Glenn Beck was brilliant stuff.

7. I've never watched Beck so...
I am not sure if he was just making fun of or actually impersonating. The whole point of the segment was excellent though.

15. There is a problem with that - satire is all about exaggeration to point out
the crazy, and it is damn hard to exaggerate Beck, much less over-exaggerate him.

18. You are right. Beck can't be satirized. My son tunes in to laugh at him.
I think many do.

9. From the pictures of his father i've seen
I'm almost certain that glen becks father was in one of my navy bootcamp companies I helped train back in early '68. The father was a real dick in boot but later he was stationed at the same sere camp as I was and there, where there was no, how do I say it, protection from me kicking his sorry little ass, so there he was a totally different person. Still a dick but not to the same degree. Anyways if this is the same Beck then I can definitely see that he came about his being honestly as he had his dads personality to build on. what a douche they both are/were even if it the afore mentioned person wasn't his father
just so you know...

12. That was frighteningly accurate.
Edited on Fri Mar-19-10 09:29 AM by BurtWorm
It was such a devastatingly perfect imitation of the insane mindset of Glenn Beck, complete with insane mannerisms, that I couldn't laugh. I just felt sick that an insane idiot like Glenn Beck is a rock star in this country. It made me feel even more hopeless than I was already feeling about America's present and future.

14. This will be a comedy classic... on the level of Steve Allen having a giggle fit,
Carol Burnett wearing the curtain rod or Dan Akroyd playing the electrician with his crack showing. You just wait!

I have to wonder how much of that is improv and how much is mapped out in advance.

20. K&R. I saw it! It was brilliant! Love it when he does his GB bits.
Loved his first one too.

So glad he gave us this next routine because it was outrageous that GB told his devotees to run away if their churches advocated Social Justice or Economic Justice.
