I think I'd fall over, stone cold dead.

I know, dare to dream...but who knows what a dry-drunk's motivations are, from day to day.

11. He won't, because that would be the smartest thing to do, tactically.
He could sign it, and then every bad thing that happens in the Iraq, the ME, or the US automatically would be explained by saying, "...because the Democrats forced retreat." But he's too stupid to do that.

after a "private" veto session.

I'll make sure I'm watching the BBC News or something. I might break the TV, if I have to look at or listen to Chucklenuts.

You know, I meant that as a joke, but the more I think about it, the more I'm afraid this criminal administration might actually try something like that someday. Not today, but if really hard pressed with the threat of impeachment perhaps?

16. NPR did a great "expose" on the latest Republican talking point "follow us home."
"If we leave Iraq, the terrorists will follow us home."

They played sound snippets from the past couple of days with that same ol' line...everyone from Bush to McCain utilizing the "follow us home" excuse as to why we won't pull out of Iraq.

Then NPR had some experts on the radio who said that it was very doubtful that terrorist would literally follow the troops home. And more likely that us staying there is breeding new terrorists.

18. If Fred Fielding has a lick of sense -- and the jury's still out on that one --
he will advise the president to take the Exit that Congressional Democrats are handing him.

"Cheney's fat-cat pals at Halliburton have all made their coin on this deal. Now instead of wrecking the thing for GOP re-elects in 08, take the Exit door and sign the goddam bill" -- should be Fielding's synopsis.

But.

It's Dubya we're dealing with and I think the veto will be defiantly defended in the address tonight.

32. My take on what he'll say
"Ladies and gentlemen of the United States, good evening. It is clear to even the most partisan observer that the American people said with one voice in November of 2006 that they preferred to have Democrats in control of the House and Senate chambers. It is also clear that this Democratic sweep was a clear repudiation of my so-called "strategies" in Iraq, which is to say, my unwillingness to consider any advice given to me at any time, about anything, by anyone. I come before you now, in the aftermath of vetoing a bill that would have given a clear timetable for the United States to withdraw its brave military men and women from Iraq, to say two words:

Fuck you.

Thank you, and good night. May Gawd bless 'Merica."

33. Bush's speech in a nut shell
Iraq is a bad idea that is just getting worse so I am going to stick to it. I welcome
any chance to talk with the Democrats in Congress because they are just doing
their jobs but I have a job too ..... to protect the country and protect the troops
so I will keep them being slaughtered along with the deaths of countless Iraqis
because I am stubborn. After 9/11 America was put on a new path and that path
is for me to be a figurehead for rich powerful forces. These rich powerful forces
are good men like Karl Rove, Vice President Cheney, and my uncle, Bucky Bush.
Uncle Buck's little arms businesses has grown like a weed since I have been in power
hell in cash and stocks he has picked up @ least $15,000,000.00.

This has been the plan all along steal elections and steal as much as we can world wide
and use a very controlled media to sell the lies that we need to sell to stay in power.
Truth be told if "it all came out" millions of Americans would demand change now and
strip me from any power and put me and a bunch of other henchpersons .... Condi, Sandy
O'Conner, and Karen Hughes ...... on trial. In short I have been one bastard that has
screwed, blued, and tattooed this country. Did I ever tell you the story of Ohio 2004?
We got a thug named Ken Blackwell to ship the vote data to Tennessee and ran it through
the computers were using for the R.N.C. and Bush / Cheney 2004 ..... and guess what?
I done won another election but with a scared and useless media nobody really knows the
truth. Hell we have planted stories in the New York Times and then quoted the planted
story to support our case to have this bloody war in Iraq.

In case you are wondering about the troops .... think I care? I use 'em as props anyway
if the are not overseas killing or being killed. Who the fuck is going to stop me .... because
I am nuttier than a squirrel turd and living in a bubble repeating "talking points" that are
given to me.

Wanna have a drink? You think I took on Jesus and changed my life? ha!

39. Do we get time for a Democratic response??

I'd love John Kerry to give the speech I just watched on CSpan2 detailing why Bush's 'way forward' is doomed to failure.

It was a great speech ... unfortunately, only the few who watch CSpan will ever hear it.
