Texas sized hypocrisy: AG files suit against HCR.
http://bayareahouston.blogspot.com/2010/03/texas-attorney-general-stands-up-for.html

Our AG, Greg Abbott, is one of the AGs that are filing suit to stop HCR.

Abbott was paralyzed while jogging under a tree that fell. He sued. Got $10 Million. Then fought for tort reform to limit lawsuit awards. He is now supporting the insurance companies.

Come by and leave an appropriate comment.

1. I remember the first time he asked for my vote.
18-20 years ago. He was running for district judge in Harris County. I was on our firm's political action committee, and he came calling. I'd litigated against his firm many times, but never him. He promised fairness. He won and built a rep of being a good trial judge, although I never had a case in front of him. He talked like a man who wasn't going to think in terms of Republicans or Democrats, but he's changed his tune since then.

Ambition does that. He went on to be a justice on the Texas Supreme Court, then AG.

He's been biding his time at AG for years, waiting until Perry steps aside. Unlike Kay Bailey Hutchinson, he's got better sense than challenge the sitting governor. I think he probably will be the next governor of Texas. He knows he has to keep the lunatic fringe of the Texas GOP sated, so he'll do that with lawsuits such as this one.

He had such promise 15 years ago. He could have been somebody.

2. Yeah, and the aligning parties will be the ones that seek frivolous relief from serious grievances
