George W. Bush Wipes Hand on Bill Clinton's Shirt After Shaking Hands with Haitian

Former President’s George W. Bush and Bill Clinton made their first joint visit to Haiti this week, touring and helping out in Port-au-Prince, the Haitian capital city devastated by the January earthquake.

It’s an admirable visit, but something else happened while down in Haiti – it appears Bush wiped his hand on Clinton’s shirt. Let’s go to the videotape!

Breitbart.TV originally asked the question, and with the video evidence the comments section was in virtual agreement last night. It looks like while shaking hands with a Haitian crowd, Pres. Bush pulls back and transitions to what at first appears to be a shoulder pat on Pres. Clinton’s shoulder. But then he moves to a wipe – and turns away.

The visuals just look bad – an American President shaking hands with a crowd of Haitians, then getting something he deems ‘icky’ and wiping it on the shirt of another American President. And since it was Bush, it calls to mind the quote from his mother, Barbara Bush, after Katrina: “So many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway, so this–this (she chuckles slightly) is working very well for them.”
