that may erupt. I looked tried to find a source that didn't go back to Politico..but most sites are linking there as their source.

This is a very disturbing story, and I fear just the beginning of something awful to come.

Law enforcement authorities are investigating the discovery of a cut propane gas line at the Virginia home of Rep. Tom Perriello’s (D-Va.) brother, whose address was targeted by tea party activists angry at the congressman’s vote for the health care bill.

An aide to the congressman confirmed to POLITICO that a line to a propane tank behind his brother's home near Charlottesville had been sliced.

The FBI would not disclose the details of the incident, but said that they have been to the home

*snip*

The address has since been posted on websites of at least one other local tea party activist.

*****UPDATE****

Apparently, Troxell has now removed Perriello's brother's address.

However, yesterday, after receiving evidence from a commenter that the address did indeed belong to Periello’s brother, Troxel erased it, even though he didn’t yet have the congressman’s address. (The site is currently down because the “bandwidth limit” has been exceeded.)

3. What the hell
is the matter with the basic brain functions of assholes like the guy that posted this address? Even after being told the address was wrong he refused to take it down until Perriello gave him the real one.

The prick should wind up in prison for this shit but he'll probably be named GOP hero of the week by Steele and McConnell instead.

7. While I don't think it's right that an elected official's address
is posted on a blog, I'm not sure what the law is on that. Anyone know? However, he posted a private citizen's address, again I'm not sure but wouldn't that be illegal? But forgetting the law on the matter...he knew he put someone and their family in possible danger, morally that's reprehensible.

Oh wait, I forgot we're talking about people that have no morals.

5. The MSM is glossing over the details of that
completely. Just heard allusions to the over-all story on MSNBC, characterizing all these recent events
as "unacceptable misbehavior" that might hurt the tea-baggers politically. I'm not even sure they mentioned
FBI involvement.

"Unacceptable misbehavior", you know-- like pushing in line at the school drinking fountain or chewing gum and throwing spit wads at a gym rally.

10. You have that exactly right
The vibe is definitely "What's the big deal?" when it comes to right wing terrorism. I've heard more recently about how Ann Coulter was the subject of a non-terrorist non-attack in Canada than I have about actual incidents in the United States. And the popular media, which can somehow descry direct funding of abortion on demand in the health care bill can't for the life of them draw any connection between Republican rhetoric and Republican action: "Bust out the windows at Democratic offices!" screeches some bitter dead-ender. Report: "Today, windows were broken at the offices of several Democratic representatives. Nobody knows why. In fact, it's probably eight or nine isolated incidents. Nothing to see here. Never mind. Let's talk about Sandra Bullock and Jesse James."

16. Sickening!
I'm appalled (but not surprised x() that they downplayed the incident by calling it "unacceptable misbehavior," like it's some harmless prank. And the concern expressed for their darling teabaggers is touching. :puke:

Time to overthrow the corporate media.

8. At this point the thugs in the Tea Party Movement and elsewhere feel they have LOST big time.
Not only on the bill, but by the fact that they and the Republicans were so adamantly opposed that now that the bill is signed, and public opinion has turned (as people realize the benefits), they have lost momentum and credibility. This November's election, they must feel, has switched dramatically. What does a thug do in such a situation, especially egged on by Beck et al.

It should be little surprise. We need to brace for it.

9. I am afraid this will not be the last incident
Edited on Wed Mar-24-10 12:46 PM by AsahinaKimi
The media will say, you can't blame it on the teabaggers. Its always some lone nut that goes off and does violent stuff like this. Like the guy who flew his plane into the offices in Texas.

But seriously, this comes from Right wing radio and right wing networks like Fox. They may not say they are directly promoting violence, but even idiots can read between the lines.

Sadly, we may see more and perhaps worse things happening in the weeks to come. Free Speech is protected, however its just a matter of time before some bomb goes off some where, or some one steps over the line into violence.
