From FB today - someone posted 'you are a liberal if' - here was my reply

1. You think women belong in the Kitchen and not the workplace

2. That voting should be for men only

3. The Bible supercedes the Constitution (and note, Jesus told people to change the hearts and minds of people, not laws) and that you should not eat shellfish, think

people should be stoned to death for adultery, and that spouses being abused is just discipline.

4. AIDS was a good thing from God, even if it killed kids like Ryan White.

5. Think gay marriage will destroy your marriage, because what two people do in the privacy of their own home somehow hurts you.

6. You feel helping the homeless is a bad thing while praising the Lord for giving to you freely his grace. Humankind sinned and were doomed, all of us, but God freely

gave his own son to save us when he did not have to. Maybe he just should have told us 'It is your fault, don't ask me for help'

7. You think it is OK for a corporation to pollute our lakes and streams, expose workers and towns to toxic chemical byproducts, and that putting regulation on them is

socialistic.

8. You feel that the safety and lives in general of people are important enough to spend most of our budget on military, but when more people die from not having

affordable health care that is ok and their own responsibility. If a child has cancer and cannot get treatment it is the fault of their lazy parents and they deserve

to die for the sins of their parents.

9. You think abortion is wrong, but attacking a country that poses no threat to us and killing thousands upon thousands of kids or maiming them is just fine and you

cheer it on.

10. You rail against any tax increases at all but cheer on companies who raise their prices and ship American jobs overseas to save investors, many from other

countries like Saudi Arabia and China, can make more profit - and your money goes overseas to help them instead of staying here for our infrastructure.

11. You applaud free trade with China and Mexico where workers get pennies a day and work in sweatshops so you can save money on some new clothes or toys and then tell

people they are lazy when the jobs are gone and they are not working. Profit, it is better than real patriotism.

12. You are against abortion but since 1980 your party has been in office 20 years and it is still there, Does that make the Bush's and Regan accomplises to murder as

you call it? They know how to play you.

13. You think the government cannot do anything right - Yet you still brag about us having the greatest military in the world, Best highway system, best education

(Colleges get a lot of federal funds - from your taxes - from pell grants to loans to funding for research projects).

14. You rail against welfare - but more government money is given to large corporations than to people directly. In the form of tax breaks, bailouts, subsidies for not

growing crops, etc. We also give mass amounts of foreign aid - your money leaving the country to help others, but helping people here is seen as socialism.

15. You think marijuana should be illegal, but alcohol is ok. Drinking contributes to more violent crime than MJ ever has.

16. You think the world is only 6,000 years old.

17. You feel that how humans reproduce has nothing to do with science, so don't want it discussed in school.

18. You say things like 'Keep the government out of medicare and medicad'

19. You got a home loan and didn't realize that it was most likely backed by government guarantees - paid for by me and others.

20. You complain about unions and never stopped to think that it was because of them most have paid vacation from work, sick days, and better pay - and you still think companies care more about you than they do profits.

21. You rail about the evils of social security, all the while you either cash the checks or apply for SSDI - and then praise companies who promised pensions for people (who paid into them) then decided profit was better for their foreign investors so they cut the pensions and left people without an income (now those elderly people are just too lazy to work)

22. In an emergency you call 911 and get help and are never billed for it, but when someone goes to the hospital dying you have no problem with them being turned away if they don't have enough money to pay

You forget this from the bible, because it just is not convenient for you: "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows" - money, not love or compassion, is the best thing for you.

10. You have to believe that self-esteem is more important than actually doing something to earn it.

11. You have to believe that Mel Gibson spent $25 million of his own money to make "The Passion of the Christ" for financial gain only.

12. You have to believe the NRA is bad because it supports certain parts of the Constitution, while the ACLU is good because it supports certain parts of the Constitution.

13. You have to believe that taxes are too low, but ATM fees are too high.

14. You have to believe that Margaret Sanger and Gloria Steinem are more important to American history than Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Edison, and Alexander Graham Bell.

15. You have to believe that standardized tests are racist, but racial quotas and set-asides are not.

16. You have to believe that Hillary Clinton is normal and is a very nice person.

17. You have to believe that the only reason socialism hasn't worked anywhere it's been tried is because the right people haven't been in charge.

18. You have to believe conservatives telling the truth belong in jail, but a liar and a sex offender belonged in the White House.

19. You have to believe that homosexual parades displaying drag queens, transvestites, nudity and bestiality should be constitutionally protected, and the manger scenes at Christmas should be illegal.

20. You have to believe that illegal Democrat Party funding by the Chinese Government is somehow in the best interest to the United States.

21. You have to believe that this message is a part of a vast, right wing conspiracy.

22. You have to believe that it's okay to give Federal workers the day off on Christmas Day, but it's not okay to say "Merry Christmas".

23. You have to believe that Mexico has the right to seal its Southern border against illegal aliens, but the United States does not.
