I've lived long enough to know that not every violent act can be prevented. In this case, there has been too much hateful whipping up of this crowd to expect that the rest of us will escape completely unscathed.

But I'd like to think that as much of it as possible can be investigated and averted.

ETA: And if there is a direct link between Sarah Palin's actions and call to violence, the listing of addresses, and the subsequent harm following from that listing that would give rise to a civil action that ended her ability to be an effective voice for this kind of violence, I'd pass out with joy. Honest.
