As I watch the last 10 minutes of the final HCR vote I am reminded

We could have had anything and everything we wanted in that bill and it would have followed the same trajectory. 10 minutes left and it will be law.

4. No, you have half the country whining because they have been lied to
They do not even understand what the status quo is, or they think it doesn't effect them, or worse yet, they have been told and they believe that somehow the things that they themselves can identify as improvements will in some future that always involves grandchildren prove harmful. They may have been willing dupes, but they are dupes none the less.

3. You have individuals who vote not an entity known as the party

individuals have opinions; In fact - could you pass a financially sound health bill with just DUers and get them all to agree? They are more monolithic than the people represented by democratic congress critters.

5. I disagree. There was vehement opposition to to PO BY DEMS. There was
clearly insufficient support for single payer.

We begin tomorrow with the process of improving healthcare access beyond what this bill provides. There are flaws. Let's get busy FIXING FLAWS instead of attacking each other because we get some crumbs from the new law or know someone who gets half a loaf.
