sarah palin re-teams with ex-running mate Sen. john mccain to boost aging pol's re-election bid
Edited on Fri Mar-26-10 10:06 AM by spanone

DUMB AND DUMBER ARE AT IT AGAIN

sarah Palin is teaming up up with former running mate John McCain in a bid to save the aging Arizona senator's seat in the toughest primary campaign of his career.

Palin, the former Alaska governor McCain picked as his vice-president in his doomed 2008 presidential run, will add conservative cred to the four-term Arizona senator's sagging re-election campaign at rallies in Tucson on Friday and the Phoenix suburb of Mesa on Saturday.

It will be the first time since they have campaigned together since the presidential campaign. McCain is fighting for his political life in a primary challenge by former congressman and conservative talk-radio host JD Hayworth.

Hayworth, who brands himself "the consistent conservative," calls McCain a "maverick" who is too moderate for Arizona Republicans on such key issues as reducing greenhouse gas emissions and restricting campaign donations.

Before Hayworth left his radio show to enter the race, he blasted McCain, most notably for his work with the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy on a bill that would have created a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants.

Not that I'm complaining. In fact, quite the opposite--go, Johnny, go, go!

Is there a Dem challenger, by the way?

5. Two losers. It will be interesting to see if they attract a crowd
Palin was a curiosity a year ago. She's so overexposed right now, I doubt she will generate any excitement.

13. It'd be interesting to see the "McCain" to "Palin" crowd ratio
Edited on Fri Mar-26-10 11:00 AM by Mike Daniels
I'd think Palin's fan base would be more willing to go vote for McCain's opponent. I'd like to know how many people show up strictly for Sarah but who have not the slightest intention of casting a vote for the "maverick".
