SMASH WINDOWS! Tea Party Leader Is on Govt. Disability
Edited on Fri Mar-26-10 01:04 PM by samplegirl
Here comes the hypocrisy card again: Michael Vanderboegh, the Tea Party leader and former militiaman who is calling for an armed march on Washington for April 19, and who urged people to break Democrat party office windows, is on government disability!

Vanderboegh said he once worked as a warehouse manager but now lives on government disability checks. He said he receives $1,300 a month because of his congestive heart failure, diabetes and hypertension. He has private health insurance through his wife, who works for a company that sells forklift products.

Born in Michigan and raised in Ohio, Vanderboegh said he was not always a libertarian. He once was active in the Young Socialist Alliance and the Progressive Labor Party. “In my youth, I was a communist,” he said. But in the mid-1970s, Vanderboegh read Friedrich von Hayek’s “The Road to Serfdom,” among other books, and had an epiphany.

“From that point on, I could never take Marxism-Leninism seriously again,” Vanderboegh said.

He said he long opposed President Obama because he believed the president has “collectivism” tendencies. But he became especially energized during the health-care debate.

Apparently the government’s “socialist” handouts are egregious and fascist to “real Americans”, except when it comes to Vanderboegh’s needs. Mr. Vanderboegh, how much of that disability check are you signing over to Sarah Palin each month? And why are you getting on radio (see below) and calling for an “armed march” on Washington in April, given that they pay your bills?

that Repub windows could be smashed in retaliation? Or does he honestly think we're too pacifist for that?

P.S. Doesn't he qualify to be at least questioned by the authorities?

16. Most Dems--and Repubs, for that matter--would. Most of them do. But some don't.

The difference is, Rethugs only count on Dems being "too civilized" to respond, then define it was being weak on defense. If Nancy Pelosi had put her foot down when that guy who shouted "You lie!", I don't think things would have escalated this quickly. The wrist-slap of a rebuke she issued days later just opened the door for them to encroach a little more.

Vanderboegh overlooked the fact that ANYONE can break a window, shout epithets, make threatening phone calls or pull a trigger. Bullies have nothing to fear but being bullied themselves.

If he can lead this movement, he can SURELY do some sort of work. Let's see home much he cries "socialism," if he's taken off of disability had has to work for a living.

14. This, once again, points out what everyone by now should know
RWingers are so fucking stupid that they don't even understand the fundamentals of how the government works and makes policies. Their leader, George "dumbfuck" Walker Bush proved that point into the ground with our economy.

Don't EVER vote for a RWinger or believe anything they say - dig a little and you will find whatever they campaign against they privately covet or adore in real life.

15. Teabaggers hate when OTHER people
get government money. I've yet to meet, or hear of, a teabagger/RWinger/repub that would give BACK a government check "because that's socialism!"

20. I held my nose and read though his blog - his reasoning is
that taking a government check is the equivalent of a guerrilla fighter stealing arms and supplies from the enemy.
