One of the soldiers who was in DC this weekend has been called back to Iraq!!

Tina helped organize the bus trip from MO to DC this past weekend. Her son Cloy is a 23 year old Marine who has been to Iraq TWICE and was discharged. He was on the bus with us. Then as soon as he got back home, he was called back to duty.

Cloy is also one of the soldiers in the movie The Ground Truth.

PLEASE contact these senators today and ask that the back door draft be eliminated. If you talk to any of them, call Tina. Her number is at the bottom of her email, which is below.

This has been a truly amazing experience. It has been wonderful working with everyone on the bus committee and the advocacy days.

I am now absolutely convinced there are no coincidences. My son called me tonight to let me know the Marine Mobilization Unit has requested him to report for duty. He has an appointment tomorrow with severe repercussions if he doesn't comply. I told him I was so fortunate to be here in DC an extra day. I would holler through the halls of congress until his voice is heard.
I am asking everyone that has already worked so hard to please pitch in and flood the Armed Services Committee Senators with phone calls and emails and tell them "Stop the backdoor draft" and ask them to meet with me. I will be going to every office and requesting a meeting. If they agree to a meeting time on the phone, please call me.
Time is quickly running out for Cloy.

He LOVES Cloy and went on and on last night about being able to sit with Cloy on the bus home and how much he admires Cloy. He also said Cloy is back in school and didn't think he would be recalled.

I came in to work today, all optimistic and still buzzed about the march. The news about Cloy just knocked me the fuck down. I forwarded the news and Senate contact links to my co-workers hoping to kick their complacent young asses.
