What do the right and the teabaggers hope to accomplish exactly?

Health care for everybody? Nope.

Civil rights for everybody? Nope.

Do they even hope to do anything about our soaring unemployment? Probably not.

Do they hope to improve education? Nope.

It seems to me all they do is obstruct and reject.

IMO to vent hatred with an apparent cause. IMO many of these teabaggers are unpleasant individuals in or out of the role of being a teabagger.

Which, of course, is why they were manufactured to begin with.

1. Eliminate abortion.
2. Make Christianity the controlling religion in the US.
3. Prevent minorities from having any power.

the military battle isn't about what a soldier wants. it's about what the generals and leaders want.

the soldiers want to carry out their orders and survive. in order to do this willingly, they have to be activated into thinking that they are fighting for some reason. mostly, in this case, it's right-wing/republican tribalism. outsiders are "others" and must be fought.

I would say the vast majority of them have not thought past getting our President to fail. Most of them are driven by blind hate brought on by the revelation that the President is a black man. They just can't deal with it

The teabaggers are yet another instance of the Right trying to have their own 1960s: Dressing kooky and taking to the streets to protest......whatever.

Just another instance of 60s-envy, which has plagued Conservatives for four decades now.

Most of the Teabaggers are ignorant, passive people revved up on feelings of victimization that contains a large component of racism.

Beyond making noise, isolated instances of cowardly violence is all Teabaggers seem capable of, and that will damage them. It already has.

This is part of the corner the Teabaggers have painted the GOP into: If the Republicans don't court the them, the Teabaggers will again stay home on election day. It's the same stranglehold the Christian Right has the on GOP.

I'd like to see some statistics on the voting records of Teabaggers.

If they ever got power, they would probably want to dismantle all the services government provides. Essentially anarchy is they are heading to.

If you ask them a substantive question.. Like "how does this health care bill 'take away your freedom', exactly".. they have no idea.

"How does same-sex marriage affect you?" As if the freedom to oppose a law is lost if the law passes. Gimme a break. Better yet, gimme my 8 years of back-freedom owed when my right to oppose Bush's tax cuts for the rich was trampled on.

The teabag movement is about policies designed for the top 1% getting more than 1% of the vote in elections. The ones pulling their strings are working them into a frenzy to obsruct everything, because every proposal threatens to undo their dirty work. Feeding the fevered pitch is the fact that Obama's moves have to be drastic not only to clean up after Bush 43, but to handle unfinished business from Clinton's term.

The teabaggers themselves are a hodge-podge of various flavors of gullible. Their goals are all over the place and often vague. They didn't notice when Bush screwed them over, and might not notice when things get better as the changes they fear take hold.

Naturally, the Tea Baggers are accusing us of doing what they themselves (or to put it more accurately what the leaders they unquestioningly follow) are doing.
