In fact, I replied with a lot of the same debunking you did.

Do you think any of your "nope, not legally" matters a bit to the people who already crossed the border (you guessed it) "nope, not legally?"

Free health care can be (and is) had by illegal aliens at emergency rooms throughout the US. This is not limited to children. The rest of us pay for it in increased costs.

I, for one, can't wait for the amnesty wars to break out in DU. And we thought primaries, elections, and health care reform were fun...

It ain't "hate" to want to put a stop to illegal immigration.

I would wager that if these employers were held accountable with fines and jail terms, "illegal immigration" would become a thing of the past...

I'm genuinely curious.

The point is that it's not like we hand people any of those things, and in fact even the jobs (which is a big part of the draw for them) still provide risk for them to get.

As for health care, Americans go to Mexico and Canada for health care also.

Fine employers of illegal aliens an amount sufficient to cover the cost of deporting the illegal alien, plus an additional amount intended as a punitive fine that would be put into a fund to help defray the cost of deporting those illegal aliens who are not employed.

(and probably everywhere else in the US) is a large part of the reason hospital emergency rooms are overcrowded. Because they MUST be seen and treated when they present to the ER regardless of ability to pay, and because they usually have no assets to chase after if the bill goes unpaid, the hospital doesn't collect (or perhaps they get reimbursal from the state or feds in order to stay afloat because it's a HORRIBLE drain). MILLIONS of people in the US illegally get free medical care evey year, and in the end it's the taxpayer and/or people WITH medical insurance who absorb the cost.

Mind you, I'm all for sending their home countries the bill, but the situation IS the way it is. Broken.

I have friends who like to send e-mails like that too. It really pisses me off because I don't send them anti rethuglican e-mails because I respect their feelings even though I don't agree with them.

I once tried to explain to a rightie that illegal immigrants aren't really all voting for Democrats. It got nowhere.

As near as I can tell, all a screed like that says is that the right wingers want us to be like all those countries mentioned in the message!

These people seem have no problem enjoying the fruits of the immigrants' cheap, abused, underpaid labor.

I have always told those I know that complain about "the immigrant problem" that these are people who are only doing EXACTLY what we would be doing if we were in the same circumstances. I would call going anywhere I had to and doing any job I could get to support my loved ones "family values."

This is another case of blaming victims instead of addressing the issue.
