Bush response to Dem Leaders? "You must change because I never will"...n/t
Just because there were not enough votes to override the veto this time does not mean there won't be enough if Congress passes another bill just like the one he just vetoed.

However, until Congress sends back another bill like the one vetoed, Bush will continue to think he has the 'mandate' and does not have to change his position.

4. It's your war George.
As far as I'm concerned if the Dem's never give him another dime for this fiasco it would be just fine.

6. I've been ranting for months that everyone possible should be calling this BUSH'S WAR. Repeat OFTEN
and at every possible opportunity.

What in the hell is wrong with Congressional Dems?!?!

Every time they speak of Iraq they should be labeling it Bush's War, right now and to the end of it.

7. Riddle me this. . .
what good is a "decider" who is completely incapable of changing his mind. . .?

What's left to decide. . .?

That would be a rhetorical question.

Ughhh

Don't forget to totally ignore history, disregard the will of the vast majority of constituents, make incessant rants about "terror, terror, terror, 9/11, terror, terror, terror, 9/11, terror, terror, terror, (don't forget about 9/11, ) focus on depopulating Iraq, setting up 14 permanent bases, stealing the oil, and staying the course.

Why should he change a bit?

8. Resubmit the bill, make him veto it again, repeat until there is enough support
in Congress to override the man-boy's veto.

9. Exactly!
Do not give in an inch. That prick is a control freak. That's why he got us into this mess to begin with, Pax Americana. He who controls the oil, controls the world at this point in time.

10. A psychopath will never give up his position because he believes.......
he is right and everyone else is wrong. He also believes he will eventually convince everyone, one way or the other, to adopt his position.

11. He's right
Our spineless leadership will posture and strut. Then they will give in to all his demands. Sad but true.

12. However, everyone has noticed that the Repubs are not stepping up to Bush's defense this time...
... and the closer we get to reelection and 2008 Presidential Election, Repubs are going to have a hard time admitting they even know who Bush is, let alone support maintaing the status quo of this disaster of a war.

14. I watched on C Span Reid and Pelosi giving their statements
they want a common ground with Bush to end this war, what is going on? is this a cave in by the Dems? that timeline should stay in. Pelosi explained they conveyed their concerns and so did bush, what makes them think that this guy wants to work with them? What is going on?? and Pelosi said they are working to end the war.
