I agree that this video is not an isolated incident, but it has to go viral so that everyone can see what is truly going on, and has gone on, over the past many years.

Really watch this footage. Watch it closely, and watch it twice, or three or four times.

Please think about it. This is not just about what we are doing to innocent others, but what we are doing to our own soldiers, who are losing their goddamn minds over there, obviously.

We are creating a culture of cruelty and psychopathology.

Edit: spelled impunity wrong. My bad.

1. Bring them home, send no more.
And the military is starting a study to understand the soldier suicide epidemic. :eyes:

2. I hate to be a cynic but I don't think it'll make any difference, in the long run.
Those who support U.S. imperialist ambitions will harden their positions and, for the rest of us, it's just more preaching to the proverbial choir. We did our best to elect the right leaders. If they refuse to change this country's course, we try again, in 2010 and 2012.

3. Exactly...the real tragedy is in the audio not the video.
the casual disregard for human life and gunners that can't wait to blow someone away and take joy in it.
We have sunk to a new moral low from which we may have a hard time recovering from.

I came home from Vietnam and became a Firefighter/Paramedic and have served the community of Las Vegas for 35 years now and most of my comrades whom I served with are leading very productive lives. My daughter served 3 tours in Iraq as an MP with lots of combat experience and she is also a Las Vegas Metro Police Officer that has served the community with honor and distinction so please don't sully the reputation of the troops and the police officers who put their lives on the line every day
Thank You

13. Yes they will and are.
We have been militarizing the police for a while now so they will fit right in.

4. The curse of the Military/Industrial Complex is that it not only is financially bankrupting...
...this country, but also morally bankrupting the USA. Death and destruction are our cash crops and we export them to the entire planet.

7. The psychological part of this is intended. In terms of the military
Edited on Tue Apr-06-10 07:53 PM by Lint Head
and Pentagon actions to attack people this way is premeditated and purposeful. The whole idea is that our government cannot control people or suppress freedoms in this country without an enemy. The main reason these things are covered up is because our Pentagon and military industry needs enemies. Without enemies you have no weapons building. Why would there be a need to invent a weapon that can destroy human organs with sound waves? Why would there be a need to invent a bullet that can follow a target around a corner? Why do we need weapons that can obliterate human will? All of these weapons exist. Why? Because we have enemies and we create enemies all of the time. Greed and power drives it all. It has absolutely nothing to do with protecting anybodies freedoms.

11. "We" arent doing anything. These pilots/gunners are not your typical infantryman
These "people" are selected by the military do these particular missions for a reason. They don't want a guy with a conscious gunning down people with multi-milion dollar equipment.

This video from 1991 should give you an idea of the type of people who fly those missions http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8-wr8_qRBQ

12. I don't get your point...
The video you link dissects a friendly-fire incident, and the pilot seems to me to be horrified when he realizes what he has done. How does that relate to the 2007 incident?
