NYT Concedes They Were Wrong? Paper Loses 'Pimp' Language Entirely in Latest ACORN Report

NYT Concedes They Were Wrong?
Paper Loses 'Pimp' Language Entirely in Latest ACORN Report
Also: ACORN not dead yet!...

Yesterday, Peter Hart, of the media watchdog Fairness and Accuracy in Report (FAIR), flagged the New York Times' latest ACORN-related report for us and notes "how far the Times is from where it started on this story".

Yes, after a full six months of out-and-out misleading the public on the now-infamous ACORN "Pimp" Hoax by repeatedly misreporting that disgraced rightwing prankster and activist James O'Keefe had dressed as a 70's-era blaxploitation pimp while scamming low-level workers in ACORN offices --- and even as the Times finally conceded they were wrong on at least that point just two weeks ago --- they have still been standing by the misleading assertion that O'Keefe "clearly presented himself as" a pimp in those offices.

But the NYTimes latest story is decidedly "pimp"-less and seems to serve as a tacit admission that even that false narrative was previously misreported. Of course, they've yet to issue a public acknowledgment --- much less a correction, retraction, apology or explanation --- for having gotten that point so wrong, for so long…

1. Secretly, the Obama administration is happy ACORN can't be used as a weapon
against Democrats.

Personally, I think that sucks. Why Democrats don't get some fucking balls and stand up for ACORN and do right by them I'll never understand.

Obama should be just as quick to shout the fraud that is O'keefe as he was to call for the defunding of ACORN based on that fucked up video.

4. Yeah, but the lies will circulate among the right wing stupid for many years to come.
Just like the Kenyan birth and the Muslim religion and socialism.

These fucking assholes WANT to believe every bad thing and want nothing more than to start an "uprising".
