Important Image: Civilian Next to Target of Hellfire Missile....video 34 m 43 s
This image is too important to let it be ignored; in synopsis,

In Iraq, there was a man casually strolling down a sidewalk.
"You're clear."
"I'm firing."
Then, there was a Hellfire missile impact, and there was no man.

Watch the Video - End the Wars - Prosecute Bush et al.

How is it even remotely justifiable to kill the guy on the sidewalk?

The aircrew had the choice to fire or not to fire, but they could not be bothered to make certain that they were attacking a legitimate target.

7. Just look at how non-chalant he is. Nobody is that non-chalant in Baghdad.
Edited on Wed Apr-07-10 01:25 PM by kenny blankenship
Hell the city is STILL FULL of murderous Iraqis today. Despite 7 years of our best efforts!

Non-chalance like that can only be seen ONE WAY: as a mortal threat to US servicemen and the mainland of the United States of America. His dismemberment and gelatinatization was MORE than justified. He was begging for it, the little fucking prick.

8. I am sure a military tribunal will except "suspicion of terrorist activies due to non-chalant 'tude"
I am sure a shotgun mike could have picked up the easy going bastard whistling the Iraqi equivalent of "Everything's coming up Rosy."

11. He was definitely begging for it. Look how he's dressed!
Thankfully, our brave boys could just tell that he didn't love America in his heart of hearts.

Uncanny, isn't it?

2. If Iraqi civilians didn't want to vaporized by the U.S. military
They shouldn't have continued to live in Iraq. And if they didn't want their kids to be killed by our star-spangled, all-American fightin' men and women, they shouldn't have continued having babies after we invaded. Those Iraqis better cut it out, or we'll be forced to kill more of them.

Just wanted to get that in before the usual suspects show up. Because that's what the explanation comes down to.

12. Hey, don't you laugh! He might have had an RPG stuffed in his pants.
Preemptive death is obviously the only solution in what is now a glorified peace-keeping mission.

War is hell, bad things happen, kill 'em all before they grow up to be terrorists, etc.

:puke:

6. Clearly that is Osama walking there
Seriously, my guess is whoever gave the all clear order to fire either doesn't consider a single Iraqi important enough to stop the attack and considers them collateral damage in a heartless and inhuman display or they made a tragic mistake and didn't see the guy.

14. I was watching an episode of Law and Order the other day
Somehow Jack McCoy wound up prosecuting a former member of the Bush Administration for War Crimes etc. He started getting hounded by the "Current Administration" to drop the case because they were interested in "looking forward".

Jack McCoy says to the US Attorney that comes to see him to tell him to drop the case that no Administration is going to prosecute a previous administration because it opens up prescient for the next administration to dig into their dirty laundry.

I know its just a NBC cop show but that statement made some sense to me.

15. "Ripped from the headlines!"
I'm sure that setting a precedent is part of their concern, but this admin has been awfully kind to an awful bunch of people.

It's almost as if a deal was cut...

What am I saying? These people don't cut behind-the-scenes deals with each other!
