Why just now?
I'm curious, the whole world has known these atrocities have been happening in Iraq and Afghanistan since both invasions ......... why suddenly the first overwhelmingly disgust at this Wikileak film? There have been pictures on the net of limbless children with 'funny captions', body parts being bragged over, laughing at little children following tanks with soldiers holding out clean water as bait? Why just now is it suddenly so, so, so wrong?

The cancer of hate and self-entitlement is creeping, I see it daily, reading all over the net. I'm hoping my family down there comes to their senses and gets the hell out before the first bomb hits NK or Iran, or Chavez is 'removed'. I see the hypocrisy here daily against the Palestinians and people actually claiming those millions of children deserve their horrible fate. Mostly, not ......... but it's here. Mention compassion for these children and you're anti semite, mention the suffering anywhere and there's always someone jumping in to defend whatever atrocity it was. It won't end. Nobody wants it to bad enough. Waste, ignore who dies for all that waste, hate and justify. It could have been stopped. The rest of the world had hope, I believe that's changed.

4. It never was conjecture, imo.

Stories like this have been printed for years. They were mostly ignored. Shooting the messenger was always easier ...... and then, there wasn't actually any 'real' video. Well sure there was, it just wasn't 'verified'. The graphic pictures were always photoshopped, or from other wars, or whatever excuse was used. It boggles the mind that people actually expect people from any nation, hating the occupation of a foreign military, would ever stop fighting for their own country and resources. The cameramen and innocents killed and all the bragging in the latest link, is just another day, another dollar in Iraq. I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but get all of these pictures and videos out. The 'messengers' apparently weren't all lying. I think it's the only chance to stop these horrors. jmo.

6. Yes, there have been photos, first hand reports. Remember that Italian Journalist killed by us?
But we have video - and for the TV nation, this is the most conclusive proof

2. Because we expect...after years and years...for this kind of behavior
to NOT happen anymore. SOPs and Rules of Engagement have long been in place for every threat level. We just don't expect to see a military helicopter mow down people walking down a street calmly and with no apparent weapons.

3. It's one thing to know it's happening
it's another to see it. And many people here go out of their way NOT to see stuff like this. I refused to watch the Wiki vid until someone who I know and respect told me I needed to see it. And they were right I needed to see it but it sure made for an awful week, and it's not getting any better.
