3. It could have been worse...
When those assholes in Congress got on the Anti-Red Bandwagon back in 1954, we ended up with their idiotic god plastered all over our money. And ever since, the fucking believers have been whining that it "proves we are a Xian nation."

The legislative idiots also shitcanned our beautiful inclusive national motto, E Pluribus Unum, and replaced it with the motto In Some Non-Specific But No Doubt Charlton Heston Looking Sky Pixie We Trust. Or something like that.

I hate to think what those bung-holes might have done, when they discovered we shared a holiday dedicated to labor with the rest of the world. Including the Commies. They would have probably designated May 1 as Official All-American Non-Communist Kiss The Ass of Jesus Day.

In case anyone wonders about my weird obsession with The Internationale - blame Michael Moore. Right at the end of Capitalism: A Love Story, he used a swingtime, cocktail-lounge version of it. Damn thing has been earworming me ever since.

Arise you prisoners of starvation...oh YEAH!
Arise you wretched of the earth...baby...
The Internationale unites the whole darn human race...

5. Have some irony, it's good for you blood.
:hi:

When I first clicked that link, I got an ad for Ace Hardware. I immediately thought it was a clever capitalist tie-in promoting the sale of hammers and sickles...
