I hate to be the bearer of good news, but...(My pictorial of FLOTUS' visit)
Today Michelle Obama visited San Diego to tour a community garden in one of the many culturally diverse neighborhoods. This was to promote her healthy living project as part of her recent trip to Haiti and Mexico. I went there on a whim...I live nearby and was on my lunch hour. I found a parking place and hung out with a crowd of about 300 or so. The actual garden area was roped off and the streets were blocked by police. I talked with the crowd and everyone was in such a good mood. We were all so frickin' HAPPY! We were happy and proud that she was OUR first lady and she was coming HERE!

Here are the photos and I also added the link to the story of her visit from the San Diego Union-Tribune.

I hope you enjoy them. It was a great antidote to taxes and tea parties.

:grouphug:

P.S. The fuzzy, out of focus picture is actually Michelle zooming by. I had to shoot blindly over the crowd, so I was surprised as hell that I actually got a shot.

7. That elderly couple got a kick out of it
and hope to god that kid never forgets it.

And CHP got the duty? NOT SDPD?

Never mind how stretched the local cops are.

Thanks.

14. I know why
I know why the CHP and not the SDPD got the escort duty:

Look at that snazzy bow tie!

16. I had no idea the the CHP had formal bow ties. Ponch would be proud!
Kind of clashes with the rest of the motor gear though. Maybe if the boots were blue too...

Electra Glide in Blue!

(Reading the tagline now and knowing it's Robert Blake is kinda creepy!)
