so i was talking to my mother on the phone yesterday and she starts bitchin about politics, mostly
about how outraged people should be that the president is dismissive of the teabaggers. she also goes into a rant about the deficit.

that was when i asked her how come it was that she wasn't outraged when dubya ran the deficit up and cratered the economy, and he started with a surplus and blew it on two wars, and didn't dubya dismiss the people at the protest rallies before we invaded iraq, so wasn't it a little bit dishonest to be outraged all of a sudden when for 8 years the repubs supported the very thing that has them in a froth now.

that's when she said she had to go, and didn't like talking about politics anyway.

It's as if the "Dubya" years never happened!

are like a cult. They seem to have been brainwashed by right wing media. There may not be any hope for most of them as far as coming to the realization that they have been duped. We can only hope that as time goes by and they actually see the improvements in our country, they will wake up and see just which party is making their life better. Time will be the true convincer.
