One is on the mall and is unarmed, the other is just over the river in Va and is armed... I would hate to have to rely on corpomedia for coverage on this mess. . .

1. Hey, I'm used to seeing "open carry" since 2001 in Tucson, Arizona.
We really need to stop over-reacting to people who have secured handguns straped to their hip. Granted, I do a double take at a rifle slung over someone's shoulder but I don't "freak out."

Perspective people. Some of us LIBERALS own guns and don't "go off" if someone is open carrying at their local Taco Bell. :eyes:

2. Fine. But this protest is a rather pointed
"open-carry" event, don't you think? It's an armed crowd assembling as close as they could get to Washington DC -- not just an individual guy ordering a frappucino.

6. Freak out?
Sounds like the OP just wanted some info on the "My other penis is small, so I carry this to make it seem big" rallies today. I do not know about your Taco Bell reference. Do you have to shoot the beef for your Taco Bell meal in AZ?

11. I didn't. Open Carry - Gun Rallies are not areas for democratic concern.
Many democrats also enjoy collecting firearms.

17. The point is these people are delusional with guns.
They are there because they were told Obama is a communist or socialist or whatever and he is going to confiscate their guns. They are not rational. I'm freakin tired of stupid myself.

22. Yep.
Stupid + guns is a scary thought, indeed. Morans who want to "take back their country" while armed? A recipe for disaster, imo.

5. If you're talking about the Oath Keepers in VA, they bailed out...

Oath Keepers bails on open-carry gun rally outside of D.C.

The much-discussed group that gives military veterans an oath to defend their country against their government is pulling out of an April 19 rally that was set to attract considerable media attention. The reason: reports of inflammatory rhetoric from organizers of the rally, who planned to display their guns.
