1. They are taking it away from us.

They have no concept of the mindset and principles of those Americans at Lexington and Concord. They should not be allowed to get away with it when their mindset is like McVeigh's.

3. Only if you let them.
Same with the Gadsden flag for the teabaggers.

History belongs to all of us. WE decide, not a fringe nutter.

4. You're preaching to the choir.
Edited on Mon Apr-19-10 08:52 AM by political_Dem
The Teabaggers and others of their ilk have somehow confused this day with Hitler's birthday, Waco, OKC bombings the VT shootings or Columbine.

Unfortunately, American modern history has been marred by this day other than Sept. 11th.

That is why this day is approached with a sort of apprehension instead of what it truly means.

6. My Guess Is If You Asked Any Of The People That Will Be Demonstrating Near D.C........
what the battles of Lexington and Concord mean to America - they couldn't answer the question. They would have no clue. That's not why they are there.

7. Nope, today is extra special for me.
It's the day I got my first job in the United States. I was hired today on April 19th, 1999. Today I celebrate my 11th year anniversary with my employer (who remains nameless).

11. Today is Patriots day
"the shot heard round the world" Re-enacted every year on Lexington Green and the North Bridge.

This should be celebrated all over the country.
