Let's have a Tea Party!
Since this is a grass roots thing that no one owns, We should organize one. And we should keep the theme of this Tea Party, just like the original Tea Party. The original Tea Party, was pretty much an attack on a corporation that had too much influence on the government.

So if we organized the tea party, and decided on the speakers, we could probably make sure it remained on focus, telling the truth about banks, investment firms, health care insurance, oil companies, mining companies, chemical companies, pharmaceutical companies, soft drink companies and the like. Best yet, If we stay on focus, and stay with simple messages of punishing with jail and not letting these offenders walk, I suspect that we would not have a lot of booing and issues from the tea baggers. After a few real grass roots tea parties happen, maybe the tea baggers will begin to understand how dangerous 'contractors' can be to the freedom and economy. Maybe they could even understand that bank regulation is quite simply not allowing banks to invent money and lie about money.

Of course the people who are funding the current Tea Parties will have huge issues with what is being said, but then they would, wouldn't they?

1. Your idea is not far-fetched
I can think of one precedent: When vets returned from Vietnam, the VFW turned them away, because they hadn't fought in a "real" war. When their policy changed, VN vets came in, rose to leadership positions, and are running the organization today.

Co-opting the TP movement is more difficult, but possibly doable, beginning with a focus on current Wall Street issues. Realistically, I don't see much hope of doing more than bending their focus--but still. it's a nice idea:).
